SMART Notebook and Lumio Skills

Lumio, SMART’s online lesson delivery system, gives teachers a place to create classroom activities, assessments, and enhance archived lessons to extend learning. Join our PD trainer as they walk you through the Lumio features that will help you to add an interactive spin to your static lessons and spark engagement in your students. We’ll explore ready-made activity templates and complimentary lesson files that can be easily adapted to fit your classroom!

At the end of the session, we will provide a certificate for the total hours of participation, approved for state teaching licenses.

  • Sheets - Are you ready to become more efficient? We'll cover some of the basic features of Google Sheets so you can easily add, organize, and analyze data. We'll also share some ideas to get your students to use Google Sheets in the physical or virtual classroom. Google Classroom and Calendar

In this course, we will talk about the basics of using Google Classroom and Google Calendar in your learning environment.

This platform brings together great Google Workspace for Education apps like Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and key add-ons, all in one easy-to-navigate application. Learn just how easy it is to get started using Google Classroom and discover ways to improve your workflow, plus manage entire class sets of documents and assignments with this amazing tool.
  • Calendar - Need a good way to organize your time? Google Calendar is a helpful tool for time-management and scheduling. Join us to learn the basics, how to integrate Calendar with your other Google Workspace for Education apps, and to explore some additional features.

Google Sites and Gmail

In this course, we will talk about the basics of using Google Sites and Gmail in your learning environment.

  • Google Sites is a structured wiki and webpage creation tool offered as a part of Google Workspace for Education. With Sites, anyone can create simple websites that support collaboration between different editors. We'll show you how to get started with your site and how to take advantage of the many tools to make resources available to students, parents, colleagues, and the school community!
  • Gmail - During this portion of the course, we will discuss the basics of using Gmail in the classroom. We show you how to organize your inbox and messages by setting inbox types, as well as how to mark important messages and apply filters. We’ll also discuss other key features for organization, including the To Do list and Tasks.

Join our Professional Development Trainer as we explore the history and growth of esports, the benefits and potential drawbacks of incorporating esports in education, and case studies of schools and universities that have successfully integrated esports into their curriculum. We will also discuss the future of esports in education and their potential impact on the way we teach and learn. Whether you're a teacher, administrator, or student, this session will provide you with insights into the exciting world of esports and their potential as a tool for learning and personal development. Google Administrators Bootcamp

If you are responsible for maintaining the Google domain for your district, then this series is for you. This Google admin series is a technical deep dive into the administrative settings of the Google admin console. As your district relies more heavily on tools like Google Drive, Gmail, and Classroom, it is essential that administrators stay up to date on the latest features and best practices for Google Workspace administration. Each session will be broadcast live for 3 consecutive days and there will be time allotted for the trainer's presentation, practice, and a Q&A session to follow. At the conclusion of the sessions (6 hours total), certificates will be given for hours that are approved for state teaching licenses.

Microsoft Educator Academy

This Academy is designed to give educators an understanding of the many tools that Microsoft offers students and teachers to reach all types of learners in any learning environment. Teachers will experience basic features and tools to prepare them to get started using Microsoft devices and programs with students. Participants should be comfortable and knowledgeable in the basic skills necessary to be successfully using Teams in a variety of learning environments, such as setting up a OneNote notebook, using accessibility features like Immersive Reader, and flipping lessons with PowerPoint Recorder.

Participants should either bring their own lunch or visit any local eatery. Places to eat nearby.

Participants can redeem achievement codes to receive Microsoft badges and points.

Microsoft Advanced Educator Academy

The 21CLD curriculum describes six dimensions of 21st century learning: Collaboration; Skilled communication; Knowledge construction; Self-regulation; Real-world problem-solving and innovation; and Use of ICT for learning, each of which represents an important skill for students to develop. This Trainer Academy builds on research methodology, providing a collaborative, practice-based process to help educators transform how they design enriching learning activities for their students.
